North Coast Vein Treatment Center uses radio-frequency to treat varicose veins and vein reflux symptoms. Dr. Karen Mihalik performs the VNUS Closure Procedure in the office to treat varicose veins which is caused by venous reflux disease. Most major health insurance companies will cover this procedure.

North Coast Vein Treatment Center also offers a cosmetic laser procedure using the LYRA Laser for the treatment of spider veins. Spider veins are the thin, threadlike veins that lie close to the surface of the skin.

About the Doctor

Dr. Karen Mihalik is a graduate of Wright State University School of Medicine and The Case Western Reserve University internship and residency program. She opened her private practice, North Coast OB/Gyn, Inc. in 1993. In 1998, she expanded with a second office location in Amherst, Ohio to accommodate her growing practice. In 2003, she opened North Coast Laser Aesthetics and Liposuction. She expanded her business to include Laser Cosmetic procedures such as, In-office Lipo-suction, Vaser Liposelection, Smart Lipo, Laser Hair removal, Acne Treatments, Facial Skin Rejuvenation, Botox, Brown Spots, Rosacea Treatment, Stretch marks, Scar Reduction, and Cosmetic fillers like Restylane and Juvederm just to name a few.
